10/01/2014 – New TSG Logo!
Huge congratulations go to Maria Helbig, the winner of the TSG logo competition! Maria Helbig is a research associate at the Dept. of Earth Sciences, St. Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, Nova Scotia. The winning logo was announced at the recent TSG AGM in Cardiff.
The winning design by Maria combines an abstraction of brittle faulting and the black and white colour scheme of a focal mechanism for the lettering TSG. The background image depicts ductile deformation, topped by a mountain chain, which symbolises the TSG as a roof for all its members.
The TSG committee would like to say a huge thank you for all the wonderful entries that we received. There were many worthy logos and the final decision was a tough one.
